Pawtucket advances to Governors' Cup finals

After depleting the opposing pitching staff, the Pawtucket Red Sox did the same to all the liquids in their locker room.

First went the champagne, the Steroids Injection Gone Wrong Bud Light and Coors Light. Eventually, the PawSox resorted to dumping cranberry juice and milk Methandienone Msds on each other in the aftermath of a 7 6 win over Syracuse that gave Pawtucket a sweep in its first round Governors' Cup series.

"We just have fun with it," catcher Blake Swihart said. "It's a good group of guys, a lot of team chemistry. Being a part of the Red Sox organization it's win, win, win."

Pawtucket's relentless hitters took advantage of a short handed Syracuse bullpen, scoring three runs in the seventh inning and coming from behind to advance to a third consecutive International League championship series. The Paw Sox will play either Durham or Columbus in the finals.

Trailing 6 4 and facing reliever Matt Grace to open the seventh, first baseman Travis Shaw started the rally with an infield single. Bryce Brentz doubled to center and Ryan Lavarnway singled up the middle to score both and tie the game.

Garin Cecchini, Pawtucket's offensive leader during the postseason, followed by hitting a bouncer into the hole at second base. "Comprar Gh Jintropin" Syracuse second baseman Will Rhymes tried to cut down the lead runner instead of taking an out at first, throwing wide of the base and allowing Cecchini to reach.

After a strikeout gave Pawtucket two outs, Blake Swihart singled up the middle, scoring Lavarnway with the winning run.

Dalier Hinojosa earned the win for Pawtucket, second baseman Ryan Roberts maintained the lead with a sliding stop to strand a runner at second in the eighth and Heath Hembree pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.

Seven hitters reached base safely and six scored runs for Pawtucket, which fell behind 4 0 in the second Masterton Nominees inning and pulled within a run twice, only to see Syracuse pull away again.

"It's a long season, going from spring training," manager Kevin Boles said. "A lot of these guys play winter ball. There's a lot that goes into this. The goal is getting to the highest level, but playing for something, it means a lot. It doesn't happen every day. "Anabola Steroider Norge Lagligt" Our guys fight."

Pawtucket (80 65), which reached the playoffs as the wildcard, ended the season of the International League's top regular season team. The Chiefs (81 63), however, were a different group in the postseason, losing seven players to the Washington Nationals due to call ups in September, including two of their top three relief pitchers.

Pawtucket's offensive effort helped bail out Henry Owens, the top prospect in the Red Sox organization, who endured his worst performance at the Triple A level.

The 6 foot 6 left handed pitcher topped out at 90 mph on the NBT Bank Stadium radar gun and, while Owens still struck out six and made plenty of Syracuse hitters look foolish with his highly rated off speed pitches, the Chiefs barreled up enough of his offerings to end his night after just four innings.

The five earned Comprar Gh Jintropin runs were the most Owens has allowed in his seven Triple A outings, and the four innings were the fewest he'd thrown. The eight hits allowed tied the most, and he surrendered three walks.

Still, it could have been far worse.

Owens loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the fourth but escaped the jam allowing just one run. He sandwiched a "Comprar Gh Jintropin" sacrifice fly with a pair of strikeouts.

At the time, Owens walked off the field in frustration, screaming into his glove as "Oxandrolone Powder India" he crossed the first base line.

By the time the game ended, it was just enough to allow resilient Pawtucket to advance.

"I came [into the locker room] for a half inning," Owens said. "You've got to get your teammates back. I wanted to give these guys a chance. I didn't give them a good chance, but they proved to be resilient, like they have all season."
